Rudimentary Perfection
Rudimentary Perfection from Recoat on Vimeo.
The UK's first comprehensive "Graffuturism" Exhibition titled "Rudimentary Perfection" brings together an impressive group of notable international artists linked by their innovative spirit & shared graffiti heritage. Each of these artists has ventured down a unique path, offering a radical take on expressive, figurative & letter-based abstraction.
The participating artists include SheOne, Duncan Jago, Jaybo Monk, Matt W. Moore, Augustine Kofie, Nawer, Morten Andersen, Poesia, Derm, and Mark Lyken.
All of the artists traveled to Glasgow to paint murals across the city. Go to http://rudimentaryperfection.blogspot.com/ to see and read more.
A huge thank you to everyone who supported this project, from those that helped us find walls like Chambre 69, the Woodlands Community Garden, The Govanhill Residents Group and the Glasgow School of Art Architecture department, to Fraser Denholm at Anonymous Project for filming everything, to Paul Scarlett and Throne who photographed it all, all three went above and beyond, to Montana who put up the paint, to The Skinny and Central Station who helped us spread the word, to all the artists who worked so hard to create it and were such stand up nice dudes, to all our friends who gave up their beds, cooked us all food and generally hooked us up with ladders, equipment and beers, we couldn't have done it without you! A special thank you to Red Bull for the continued support. Big love to all involved, massive cheers!
